Because they want to negotiate based on what they think you’ll pay. Pricing is sometimes determined by what your house looks like, what car is in your driveway, or how stressed you sound on the phone. We don’t work that way. Same price for everyone, every time, plus tax.
Because diagnosing a problem properly takes about 60–90 minutes — testing components, taking pressure readings, isolating the failure mode, and writing it up. Cheaper diagnostics mean rushed diagnostics, which means missing the root cause and selling you a fix that doesn’t hold. Our $169 buys you the right answer the first time.
It won’t — because we quote you in writing before doing any work. If during the repair we find something genuinely new (a second failed component nobody could have known about), we stop, call you, and you decide whether to proceed. No surprise charges on the invoice.
Yes — standard industry markup of around 30–40% to cover sourcing, warranty handling, and stocking. We’re happy to show you the supplier invoice on any part if you’re curious. No hidden fees.

All prices listed are pre-HST. Ontario HST is 13%, applied at invoice. So a $169 furnace tune-up is $190.97 total on your final bill. We list pre-tax prices because that’s how every other trade quotes work, and it lets you compare apples to apples.
No travel fee within our standard 0–40km service zone (Orleans, Rockland, Cumberland, Embrun and the surrounding east end). Beyond that radius, a flat $50+ tax truck charge applies per visit.
